Hydrophilic Waterstop Tape, Plugs and Rings.
New generation high performance waterstops which expanding up to 900% when in contact with water.Pronil ACR is a new generation high performance acrylic polymer based expanding tape. It expands up to 900% when in contact with water. In a totally dry state, Pronil ACR will shrink to it’s original installation dimension and re-expand on wetting. Pronil ACR is used in concrete construction for the sealing of construction joints including wall to base connections, pipe entry systems, sealing of openings and interface sections between existing and new concrete. Pronil ACR is easily stored in it’s original moisture-proof wrap in cool, dry conditions away from sunlight.

Wall Application
This system uses PRONIL ACR-900 hydrophilic waterstop installed along construction joints to prevent water infiltration through concrete walls. Additionally, hydrophilic rings and plugs are applied around pipe penetrations to ensure complete sealing. The materials expand on contact with water, providing long-lasting waterproof protection for wall structures.
TUNNEL APPLICATION
Hydrophilic Waterstop System – Tunnel Segment Joint Application
In tunnel construction, PRONIL ACR-900 and ACR-300 hydrophilic waterstops are placed at segment joints to block water ingress. These expandable seals activate when exposed to moisture, ensuring the joints between tunnel segments remain watertight. This application enhances structural durability and prevents leakage in underground tunnel environments.
Technical Data
The increase in volume was measured when specimens were immersed in tap water at 23°C over a 28 day period. Recovery volume was measured when the specimens were removed from the solution and air dried over a 28 day period. This method was repeated over three cycles. The percentage change in volume calculations are all based on the initial volume.Â

The expansion rating is affected according to CaCO3Â and salt content. Contains no traces of Bentonite.
